Bio: A little background on the galleries and the photographer...
photo: Dr. Wayne Walker on the bike from Oz.
I went to highschool in Niagara Falls with Wayne Walker. We competed in Track and Field. Wayne was an outstanding 400m runner, and I ran middle distances including the steeplechase.
I had the pleasure of seeing Wayne again at the Nats... the last time we met was 30 years ago... Amazing!
I have also done a fair bit of cycling over the years, including triathlons and MTB races, and did some road racing in highschool. Another school mate was Gord Singleton. Gord was a fierce competitor, and had incredible speed. I was a victim to his phenomenal sprinting in some road races. He became world champion and world record holder in 200m, 500m and Kilo. More on Gord here: http://www.nfpl.library.on.ca/swof/default.asp?pg=detail&rec=103
If you were at the Nats, send me a description of yourself, and I will try to post images with YOU! Over 1500 images from Friday afternoon to the final races on Sunday.
I hope you find my passion for cycling, competition and people is evident in my photography... if you like what you see, please place an order and help to support this website.
If you like the images post a comment, or send me an email... I would like to hear from you.
Cheers,
John Roberts
